LOUM is a bakery café in Alkmaar's Old Town, where food, coffee, matcha, pastries and atmosphere come together. You will find us on the Hekelstraat, in a building full of character, where we bake and brew fresh every day.
It is a place where you just stop in for a coffee, and before you know it you are still sitting there a little while later. With a book, catching up with friends, or simply people watching. And the next time you are nearby, you will find yourself walking back in.

Behind LOUM is Millie. She always dreamed of creating a place of her own one day, one where her love for hospitality, food, coffee, atmosphere and welcoming guests would come together.
When this building in Alkmaar crossed her path, everything fell into place and LOUM was born.
Behind the counter is a young and enthusiastic team. There is a relaxed, easygoing energy between them, and you can feel it as a guest the moment you walk in.
